How it all began

A beautiful chapter began with a simple greet
Velvety eyes, her smile, charming and sweet
We walked along the canal with our bare feet
I knew right away the love song would be on repeat

But I had an enemy within that I have to defeat
It started when society labelled me as obsolete
My insecurity had chained my heart in the coldest pit
I had to regain my confidence and reignite the heat

So I asked her out but it became a comedy skit
She laughed, gave me a wink, it’s such a treat
An intimate night, just the two of us on an empty street
That was the night when she unknowingly planted a seed

Now I’m painting that night vividly on a blank sheet
So I can relive the colorful memory whenever I read
This is how it all began, pure love with no deceit
Thirty years and the same song still playing its beat

Life's Holy Grail

Every life is a mountain to scale
Every day brings a different trail
Every struggle is a pain you must exhale
Know that your true potential is hidden behind that veil

Every life is a voyage one must sail
Learn to brail your sails through every travail
Steer back your boat after every passing gale
If the odds are against you, you will prevail

Every life is a story with so much detail
Cherish your loved ones before you turn pale
Without them your life will just be stale
If you don't start loving yourself, is love really that frail?

Every life is part of a larger body none can curtail
All of us carry a different face, a different tale to inhale
Never give up, even if it feels like the final nail
Be like the heart that beats everyday without fail

Lifetime in a clip

First, let me open this poem with a tip
Time is gold, keep it under your grip
Time is not something that you can blink and skip
And life is not a coin that you can spend the time to flip

When you feel exhausted, time to get some sleep
Second tip is to free yourself and go for a long trip
Life is precious and time flies in a zip
Time to tell yourself that you're the captain of the ship

It feels timeless when pain resurfaces from the deep
It's time to let the tide sweep the pain before it starts to seep
Third tip is to let go when things are not meant for you to keep 
Take your time to find a safe space if you need to weep

Sometimes it's hard to take the first leap
Sometimes it's hard to climb when it gets too steep
Sometimes it's hard to stand after a big slip
This will be the last tip, treat every hardship as a blip

Worth a headline

To be on cloud nine
One must gear up and be ready to grind
One must learn how to walk on a thin line
One must be different from the stars that shine

To always meet the deadline
One must design an outline
One must be flexible to realign
One must not look for a reason to whine

To know when to decline
One must not let others step on the baseline
One must either read the room or the headline
One must neither be tone-deaf nor blind

To have a peace of mind
One must not be a prickly porcupine
One must not keep looking behind
One must always be kind

It starts with us

Sacred lives in need of Saving
All they seek, is to end the Aiming
Years of violence and Vetoing
Nested vengeance that is never Ending

Occupation that keeps on Prolonging
Global leaders, full of charades and Acting
Each second another soul is Leaving
No more words to keep on Explaining

Open our arms and let’s start Sharing
Call them out and keep it Trending
It’s time for the world to stop Ignoring
Don all hope, justice is Nearing

Eternal peace, why are we not Embracing
Nullifying negativity is worth Navigating
Our collective action is the greatest Offering

Waiting for time to clear the dust
Weakness played a trick or three
Walking down a path that none can forecast

Where can I find the answer actually?
Written clues whispered through the grass
Walls crumble when I start feeling weary
World is vast when I'm ready to leave the class

Why does clarity lead to insanity?
With a blink of an eye, life goes fast
Wrongly judged before society hears my plea
Wasting every breath for a charade to cast

When will I reach the highest I can be?
Wealth is the focus and health remains in the past
Wicked truth everyone find it hard to see
Wish someone told me that the answer comes last

A.M.B.I

Another day walking by the shore
Another day replaying the sudden situation
A grief I've never dealt with before
The loss of god's perfect creation

Massive void located deep in my core
My dad was my main source of motivation
Major price to bear I wish I could ignore
I'm so lost I can't find my own direction

Barely able to stand by myself anymore
Borderline falling deep into depression
But I have a legacy I promise to restore
A flame I will carry in succession

I just lost my lifelong mentor
A parcel of life swept by the ocean
A life he kept telling me to explore
A life I will miss without a question
