I'm His

Reading my book under the trees
It was a sunny day full of bliss
Came a guy asking for directories
He told me he was looking for his keys

I was willing to help, he was at ease
We tracked his steps and found the piece
He took his phone out and took some selfies
Ecstatic, he then asked, "We, food, Japanese?"

Didn't think much even if I'm overseas
Delighted to dine some curry with cheese
Walked through an alley and felt a squeeze
Lost my balance and was on my knees

Weeks passed, I'm still begging for my release
He pulled my hair and gave me a kiss
Whispered in my ear that love is a disease
Promised that this will be a lasting peace

Is this too much?

Look me in the eyes and tell me
that you love me. Because it's only
just us, and it will forever be
like this. I'm sorry if this really
hurts you but hear me out honey.

I can only think of you. I'm crazy
in love that whenever I'm free
I'll stare at the selfie I secretly
took of you. Now, what if we
take this to another degree?

What if I go down on one knee
and propose to you? Will you gladly
accept me even if we barely
knew each other from only three
weeks ago? Please? No? That's funny.

What choice do you have, your majesty?
Are you aware that you're in my custody?
I'm obsessed with you? Unfortunately,
you're right. All I want is you dearly.
So let me start again but now slowly

Consolidation

Look up and ask yourself are we living in a constellation
Are we living with our neighbours with a genuine connection
Why the world's conflict is always just another contention
When there's always a resolution through a civil conversation

Are we even doing our part to stop every confrontation
When we’re behind the keyboard sending our condemnation
While we're feeding our time with conspiracy consumption
But we never seek or trust any professional consultation

World leaders running a convention for another confrontation
The more they talk, the more we notice their contradiction
There's never a confirmation except more layers of confusion
Are they really building a world for our living condition

Let's have a deep contemplation about the future’s configuration
Ask yourself can we ever cleanse the world from this contamination
Will there ever be golden days when human race applies true conviction
I believe we can thrive if we try living under the same constitution

It only takes you and me to spark a global conjunction
Turning a fictional conception into a major consideration
And honestly this is not a conclusion, just a logical confession
I believe this small effort of us may one day be a contribution

You and me

You and me, we had a real bond from a different reality
We sometimes agree to disagree to a certain degree
But we shared the same vision like we're both visionary
We're very familiar with each other like we're family

You treated me like a royal and I showed you my loyalty
Life was simple but the world couldn't digest simplicity
I kept getting complains about our irregular complexity
They started calling me mister and called you a mystery

They fixed my broken chair and said it's for charity
Then they analyzed you and discussed my anatomy
They instantly labelled me insane without checking our sanity
Told me that I have a problem because you're just a probability

Are they really going to jail us just because of their jealousy?
Do they not know that a calamity brings great clarity
Tragically to some it’s an unspoken tragedy
They're not a fan of us, so they snapped me out of my fantasy

I want to be something

I'm in the phase where I'm not sure where I'm going I'm fixing my face pretending to know what I'm doing I just found a phrase that could broaden my viewing Telling me to maintain my pace and continue pursuing But what should I seek if my destiny is still unfolding Climbing hard to the peak with options I'm withholding Too many to pick but which would produce the best molding? If only I could peek into the future and avoid any misfolding No phrase has the answer. Another man who is unwilling Growing up as a gilded lancer but doubts slowly crippling They spread like a cancer. Another cold night shriveling An answer came from a necromancer at a cost of blood spilling Now I can speak with the dead, will it tell me the right thing? Too many shades of red but where do I go next? anyone? anything? A path I need to tread, a path I need to build out of nothing Too many what ifs inside my head. I just want to be something

I want to be a winner

I’m in a new phase, I'm a clueless beginner
Fate made a clean slice, made me a breadwinner
I'll do any kind of job, even as a gleaner
"Things won't be the same", a voice echoed from the inner

I'm wearing donated clothes, but I'm proud like a preener
It's a humbling chapter for me, I used to be meaner
I'm trying my best to be a saint, I used to be a sinner
But the voice in my head, no longer an angelic singer

If I continue crawling, will they judge my demeanour?
If I keep my hands dirty, will my water be cleaner?
If I keep living, will the grass turn greener?
If my fate is sealed, what's the purpose of the fortune spinner?

Pushing to my limits, body is getting thinner
Looking at my bank, guess I’ll be skipping dinner
Looking at others, wonder what it’s like to be a winner
I’m holding on to something, holding on to my last carabiner

My soft eyed man

Unexpected match with the right intentions
Wits his way through the conversations
Took a while to crack, with pure determination
I bet he didn’t know, I was deep with appreciation

My walls had built too high, thought I had the upper deck
I didn’t know it yet, that this chess grandmaster had me on Check
Castling was the move when things got comfortable
I bet he didn’t know, I felt the most vulnerable

But this soft eyed man, came around with intentions so pure
Amidst the storm, I couldn’t help feeling so sure

And as his knight broke down my castle
I gave away my blocks on a tassel
I couldn’t thank Him enough for aligning such fate
This soft eyed man now, had me on Checkmate

How it all began

A beautiful chapter began with a simple greet
Velvety eyes, her smile, charming and sweet
We walked along the canal with our bare feet
I knew right away the love song would be on repeat

But I had an enemy within that I have to defeat
It started when society labelled me as obsolete
My insecurity had chained my heart in the coldest pit
I had to regain my confidence and reignite the heat

So I asked her out but it became a comedy skit
She laughed, gave me a wink, it’s such a treat
An intimate night, just the two of us on an empty street
That was the night when she unknowingly planted a seed

Now I’m painting that night vividly on a blank sheet
So I can relive the colorful memory whenever I read
This is how it all began, pure love with no deceit
Thirty years and the same song still playing its beat

Life's Holy Grail

Every life is a mountain to scale
Every day brings a different trail
Every struggle is a pain you must exhale
Know that your true potential is hidden behind that veil

Every life is a voyage one must sail
Learn to brail your sails through every travail
Steer back your boat after every passing gale
If the odds are against you, you will prevail

Every life is a story with so much detail
Cherish your loved ones before you turn pale
Without them your life will just be stale
If you don't start loving yourself, is love really that frail?

Every life is part of a larger body none can curtail
All of us carry a different face, a different tale to inhale
Never give up, even if it feels like the final nail
Be like the heart that beats everyday without fail

Lifetime in a clip

First, let me open this poem with a tip
Time is gold, keep it under your grip
Time is not something that you can blink and skip
And life is not a coin that you can spend the time to flip

When you feel exhausted, time to get some sleep
Second tip is to free yourself and go for a long trip
Life is precious and time flies in a zip
Time to tell yourself that you're the captain of the ship

It feels timeless when pain resurfaces from the deep
It's time to let the tide sweep the pain before it starts to seep
Third tip is to let go when things are not meant for you to keep
Take your time to find a safe space if you need to weep

Sometimes it's hard to take the first leap
Sometimes it's hard to climb when it gets too steep
Sometimes it's hard to stand after a big slip
This will be the last tip, treat every hardship as a blip
